Radial clearance: normal design, series DN: C3; servo-motors and torque motors: C 4 resp. C 5

The table includes the bearings installed ex works in the standard design.
Motors for special purposes can include other bearings. When ordering spare parts, we therefore need the motor number in order to determine the actually installed bearings.
The data on the admissible load refer to the customary applications (practically uniform load, operation in normal temperature and humidity range) with a bearing lifetime of approx. 20 000 hours.
If the stated values are only slightly exceeded, an adequate lifetime also can be attained with the standard bearings if the actual load is exactly calculated.

ATTENTION: With a vertical installation, the rotor weight must be taken into consideration when determining the axial load. With constructions with the shaft pointing upwards or with an axial force directed on the motor, please contact us.

The bearings are provided with a permanent lubrication. As the ambient temperatures can lead to a not always foreseeable impairment of the grease lifetime, at least an annual checking and if necessary new greasing of the bearings is recommendable.

The bearings are filled with the following - or technical equivalent - greases ex works:

Standard SHELL Alvania R 3 (Lithium-grease)
Servo-motors Mobil Oil
Mobiltemp. SHC 100
(synth. grease)
Torque motors
Reluctance motors

When newly greasing the bearings, it must be ensured that the same resp. technically equivalent greases are used.
The stated grease quantities in no case should be exceeded as too large quantities of grease lead to louder running noises and to grease running out.

Special designs

  • Motors for higher speeds (n > 3600 min¨¹)
  • Motors for relubricating devices
  • Motors for special applications (higher load than those mentioned above)
  • Motors for speed-variable drives (FU) eventually necessitate, under consideration of the special conditions, individual solutions with regard to the bearing arrangement / lubrication. In such cases, please do not hesitate to contact us and give us, if possible, an exact description of the application.
